Welcome to the Jug and Bottle

Welcome to The Jug and Bottle, a traditional country-style pub with six modern and relaxing guest rooms located in the heart of Heswall on the stunning Wirral Peninsula.

We are slightly set back from the main road and the hustle and bustle of the town centre giving us a peaceful and secluded location. ‘The Jug’ as we are affectionately known by the locals offers a retreat on the doorstep of Chester and Liverpool and is only a stone’s throw from the M53 and M56 motorway networks.

The Jug & Bottle provides great value en-suite guest accommodation with excellent modern clean rooms at affordable prices. Our rooms enjoy lovely views to both sides of the Wirral Peninsula; to Liverpool with its distinctive skyline, two cathedrals and also over the Dee Estuary to the hills of North Wales. We offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere creating a cosy home away from home.

Our popular restaurant and lounge bar serve delicious homemade food seven days a week. Having recently undergone a complete transformation, the pub has been taken back to its roots as a traditional style country inn serving the finest of real ales along with the very best of locally sourced British food. Our NEW fresh homemade menu includes a number of delicious traditional classics along with our choice of special dishes created by our very talented team of chefs.

We also serve our delicious breakfast menu in our lounge bar to non-residents, available seven days a week.

Our traditional pub serves the very best in cask ales, with a number of local guest ales appearing regularly. Along with a delicious selection of world wines, fine malts, refreshing soft drinks and a warming selection of coffees, teas and hot chocolate. Our warm and inviting open fires are perfect for those cold winter months both in our restaurant and bar.

We also have FREE WIFI throughout the hotel and bar, FREE parking for guests and breakfast is included with all of our room tariffs.
